Citrix's Certification Program

Currently there are three main Citrix certifications. They are the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for MetaFrame XP, the Citrix Certified Sales Professional (CCSP), and the Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA). Citrix maintains a Web site for its certification programs at http://www.citrix.com/. This Web site will give you current information about Citrix certifications and exams.

The Citrix Certified Administrator for MetaFrame XP Exam

The CCA for MetaFrame XP 1.0 exam (Sylvan exam number 220) is designed to test your basic knowledge and competence of MetaFrame XP administration itself. It requires detailed knowledge of such topics as performance optimization, Program Neighborhood, Load Balancing, and advanced system management. It does not test any issues related to advanced administration or configuration and primarily tests your knowledge and understanding of MetaFrame core concepts and administration utilities.

The CCSP Exam

The Citrix Certified Sales Professional (CCSP) program is a sales certification for individuals who demonstrate general knowledge of Citrix products, technologies, and services. The audience for the CCSP program is Citrix business partners who work in a sales and marketing capacity. These partners include members of the Citrix Solutions Network (CSN), Citrix Business Alliance (CBN), and Citrix Consulting Partners.

The Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator Exams

The CCEA is an advanced certification that demonstrates an individual has an extensive knowledge of Citrix technology, as well as a wealth of experience installing and administering Citrix MetaFrame or WinFrame and knowledge of Management Services. In order to achieve this level of recognition, you must first achieve CCA certification for at least one of the Citrix platforms. Once certified as a CCA, you must then pass four of the following seven exams available through Sylvan Prometric Testing Centers:

• #911- Citrix Resource Manager

• #920- Citrix Installation Management Services

• #921- Citrix Installation Manager

• #930- SecureICA™ and Security

• #940- Load Balancing and Program Neighborhood™

• #950- Citrix NFuse Administration Exam
