INTRODUCTION

You might need to move files from one folder or drive to another (for example, to reorganize folders by putting similar files together in the same folder). You can also move a file that you accidentally saved in the wrong folder.

TIP

Undo Move

If you make a mistake, you can undo the move by selecting the Undo command from the Edit menu.

Windows moves the files to the new location. You can open that folder, as shown here, to confirm the move.

TIP

Drag to Move

You can also drag a file to a different folder. Display the Folders List by clicking the Folders button. Then in the right pane select the file(s) you want to move. If you are moving from one folder to another, simply drag the files from that window to the drive or folder in the folders list on the left. If you are moving from one drive to another, hold down the Shift key and drag.
