INTRODUCTION

Windows XP enables you to start one or more programs at the same time that you start Windows by turning your computer on.

TIP

Hibernate

The Start menu must be Classic style for the steps to work. If you prefer to use the default XP style, note that XP's Hibernate feature enables you to leave applications open when you power down your computer. (Your computer must be able to support this option for it to work.) When the computer is turned back on, the applications you left open are restored to your desktop. To use the Hibernate feature, click Start, Turn Off Computer. In the dialog box, select the Hibernate option.
