Task 12: Using Your Address Book to Enter Names

Create a new mail message. Refer to Task 6 for help on this step.

Click the To button in a message window.

You see the Select Recipients dialog box listing contacts in your Address Book. Select the person to add and click To .

INTRODUCTION

Rather than type a long e-mail name , which can be error-prone , you can create an address book of names and addresses. Then when you create a message, you can select the name from the Address Book rather than type it.

TIP

More Addresses

You can select additional recipients by selecting them and clicking To .

That person is added to the Message recipients list. Follow step 3 for each person to which you want to send the message. Click OK .

Type the subject and message.

Click Send to send the message.

TIP

Contact List

By default, Outlook Express displays the Contacts list, which is a list of the names in your Address Book. You can double-click any of the listed names to create a new mail message, addressed to the person you double-clicked.

TIP

Cc and Bcc

You can select a name from the Address Book for Cc and Bcc by selecting a name and then clicking the Cc or Bcc buttons .
