The Notes window opens, with the task pane listing the various Notes views.
INTRODUCTION
Another feature included with Outlook is the Notes feature. You can use the Notes feature to type little reminders to yourself ”reminders that don't fit within the scope of any of the other features (mail messages, appointments, tasks , and so on).
TIP
Modifying the Outlook Bar
By default, Notes is displayed as an icon in the Outlook Button bar. You can, however, change how features are displayed in the Outlook Bar (that is, as an icon or a button). See "Customizing the Button Bar" in Part 1, "Getting Acquainted with Outlook 2003," for more information.
