The AutoFormat dialog box appears, displaying a list of available formats. Click a format to preview it. When you find a format that you want to use, click OK .

INTRODUCTION

In addition to formatting the individual elements in a form, you can change the overall appearance of the form itself. For example, you can apply any one of the predesigned AutoFormats, as demonstrated in this task.

TIP

Selecting the Form

Make sure that you have the form selected, not a control. If you select just a control, only that element is formatted.

To see how the new form will look when you enter data, close the form and then reopen it.

TIP

Selecting AutoFormat Options

To specify which aspects of the AutoFormat are applied, click the Options button in the AutoFormat dialog box. Then uncheck any of the options you don't want to use (font, color , or border).

TIP

More Form Options

For a complete list of options, similar to those for formatting a control, double-click the box to the left of the ruler to select the entire form. Doing so displays the properties for the form. You can then review and make any changes, similar to those for modifying a control. You can also apply settings to sections of a form; double-click the section and then make changes as needed to the section properties.
