With the database you want to back up displayed onscreen, open the File menu and choose Back Up Database .
The Save Back Up As dialog box opens, with a suggested name for the backup file in the File name field. If you want, select the suggested name or type over it with a name you prefer.
Using the Save in drop-down list or the Places bar, open the folder in which you want to store the backup file.
Click the Save button. A backup copy of your database is created.
INTRODUCTION
If anything bad happens to your database file, all your data could be lost. That's why it's important to back up your data, and to do so frequently. When you back up your database, you create a separate file that contains the data in your database.

Viewing Your Backup File
You can view your backup file by opening the File menu and choosing Open . Then, open the folder that contains your database backup file, click the file to select it, and click the Open button.

If you have many databases or large databases, consider checking out some of the other backup tools and programs available. For example, you might want to use a tape backup drive , which speeds the backup process.
