Getting Bold

This chapter covers the legendary, yet powerful, DML statements INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE, and it introduces some powerful new features that come with SQL Server 2005. We also investigated some advanced stuff including coding conditional logic into the DML statements, using INSERT and EXECUTE together, and so on. For the most part the functionality we explored in this chapter puts data into the database and changes it. Let’s now look at getting data out.
