Borland Together Edition for Visual Studio .NET

Application modeling has been an activity typically performed in the design phase of a project. Usually the application architect models the key classes of the project using a third-party tool and shares it with developers who then implement it. In this process, the design is altered or tweaked to handle further details that are explored in the construction phase. The model and the code can quickly become out of sync. It takes quite an effort by the team to keep them together. A trend in the past few years around application development tools is to integrate them. Borland Together Edition for Visual Studio .NET is one such product that attempts to bridge the gap between the model and code by constantly keeping them in sync. Borland Together Edition (shown in Figure 6.2) achieves this with LiveSource, which provides automatic synchronization of source code and model (UML class/package diagram) within the Visual Studio .NET environment.
