Keyboard shortcuts are one of the features that makes TOAD so powerful and easy to use. TOAD comes with a host of predefined shortcuts. These shortcuts save keystrokes and mouse actions and perform a variety of tasks such as issuing a describe on the current highlighted object, or find (find next , find previous, and so on). The shortcuts differ slightly between the Procedure Editor and the SQL Editor (covered in Chapter 3). This section focuses on the shortcuts for the Procedure Editor only. Tables 4.1 and 4.2 are handy cross references for all of the Procedure Editor shortcuts. Table 4.1 shows the shortcuts arranged by keystroke, and Table 4.2 shows the shortcuts arranged by description. The third column refers you to the figure in this chapter where the shortcut is illustrated .
