Summary

This chapter attempts to illuminate TOAD's many different predefined packages and their optional add-ons. TOAD has become much more than the simple freeware tool of the past. TOAD now covers the complete development life cycle, from design through deployment ”with many options for improved productivity far beyond those offered simply by the graphical IDE. Probably the most important idea to walk away with is that TOAD has now become a platform rather than a product. And as such, TOAD has much more to offer than most people realize.
