Preparing the Project

To prepare for this lesson, you will launch Final Cut Pro and open the project for this lesson.

1.	In the Dock, click the Final Cut Pro icon to launch the application. Press Cmd-O, and then choose the Lesson 7 Project file from the Lessons folder on your hard drive. Lesson 7 Project contains bins of clips and sequences you will work with in this lesson. You will work with the open sequence later in this lesson.
2.	In the Browser, click the disclosure triangle next to the Sequences bin to reveal its contents. NOTE If you changed the Easy Setup preset in Final Cut Pro to edit formats other than DV-NTSC, change it back to DV-NTSC before you perform the next step. You will work with Easy Setup options in the next lesson.
3.	To create a sequence directly in the Sequences bin, Ctrl-click the Sequences bin icon and choose New Sequence from the shortcut menu. Name this sequence Amanda Subclips. You can use this sequence later in the lesson.
