You quit Final Cut Pro just as you would any Apple application from the menu or using the keyboard shortcut. You can also hide the interface if you want to work on your Desktop or in another program.
1.
To hide the interface, choose Final Cut Pro > Hide Final Cut Pro, or press Cmd-H.
The interface disappears, and you see your Desktop or any other programs you may have open in the background.
2.
Restore the Final Cut Pro interface by going to the Dock and clicking the program icon.
NOTE
The small black arrow or triangle next to the program icon in the Dock is a reminder that a program is still open, even if it's not showing.
3.
If you are finished working, quit the program altogether by choosing Final Cut Pro > Quit Final Cut Pro, or by pressing Cmd-Q. If you are not finished working, leave the program open, and continue with the next lesson.
