Answers

1.

Click once on the clip to select it. Click in the gray empty space above the Timeline track to deselect it, or press Shift-Cmd-A.

2.

Click the first clip and Shift-click the last clip in the group, or drag a marquee around those clips. To select all clips, press Cmd-A.

3.

Select the clip and press Cmd-C to copy it. Move the playhead to the desired clip location and press Cmd-V to paste it.

4.

By dragging them, or by selecting them, typing the amount of the move, and then pressing Return.

5.

Yes, by pressing the N key.

6.

Drag the tip of the pointer beneath the thin gray line to make it an Overwrite edit (solid box/downward arrow). Drag the tip of the pointer above the thin gray line to make it an Insert edit (hollow box/forward arrow).

By dragging the Drag Hand icon in the Audio tab of the Viewer.

Lock the music tracks.
