You can create a PDF document if you have a report that is capable of producing a bitmapped output. Once a lesser known format, PDF has become a standard document particularly when dealing with Web content. If you have any doubts, do a quick search on Google or Yahoo on Oracle 11i and see how many PDF documents are returned. All of Oracle's documentation now comes in PDF format. Viewable via Acrobat® Reader® software freely available from Adobe Systems that can be incorporated into any browser system as a plug-in available from www.adobe.com, the PDF format is compact and viewable from any kind of computer and now through many Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) devices including my Linux-based one.
To produce a report in PDF output, you have to override three system parameters:
Default Override value "dflt" "desformat=pdf" "destype=file" "desname=graphicb.pdf"
