  • Use HP system information resources to gather vital data about the system you are working with.

  • Use tools to collect and analyze information relating to server performance.

  • Use HP utilities to perform troubleshooting tasks.

  • Troubleshoot problems relating to net-working.

  • Troubleshoot problems relating to processors.

  • Troubleshoot problems relating to storage.

  • Troubleshoot problems relating to memory.

  • Resolve issues relating to software and drivers.

This chapter provides a comprehensive troubleshooting methodology, and introduces you to the tools that enable you to effectively use the troubleshooting methodology. By following this methodology and using the tools provided by HP, you will be able to accomplish each of the objectives listed at the beginning of the chapter.
