An HP Accredited Integration Specialist (AIS) is expected to have the skills to assess customer needs and assist in planning the implementation and growth of the IT infrastructure.

Your ultimate objective is to apply your knowledge of the HP product line to recommend the best possible solution package to your customer. The recommendation you make comes together with the statement of work document. However, to get to the point where you can craft a solid statement of work document, you need to have a sound understanding of the needs, expectations, and environment.

In this chapter, you learn how to do the following:

  • Conduct a needs analysis

  • Conduct a site survey

  • Determine business value and return on investment

  • Create a statement of work document

To complete these activities, it is helpful to also understand the resources provided to you by HP. These resources are explained at the end of this chapter.
