An HP Accredited Integration Specialist should be able to evaluate the customer environment and make a recommendation for an appropriate solution. In addition, the AIS should be able to deploy an HP ProLiant server, from the time it arrives in the box at the site to the point where the server is put into production.

Chapter 14 Evaluating the Customer Environment

Chapter 14 provides an overview of how the customer environment should be analyzed and evaluated, including how to conduct a needs analysis and a site survey. When the needs analysis and site survey are completed, the next step is to create a scope of work. Chapter 14 provides an overview of the content of a scope of work as well as resources available from HP to assist you in this process.

Chapter 15 Installing, Configuring, and Deploying a Single Server

As an AIS, you should be able to deploy a single ProLiant server from the time when the components are pulled out of the box up to the point where the server is placed into production. This chapter provides an overview of the skills, tools, and techniques needed to accomplish this deployment. Particular emphasis is placed on the techniques for the initial server configuration and the procedures for landing the operating system on the server.
