In this chapter, I described some of the different audio file formats and their strengths and weaknesses. I showed how to rip files from CDs and record your own music. Then I showed some techniques for cleaning up and filtering these files. I also discussed ways to preserve and distribute your music, by converting it into MP3 or Vorbis files or burning it to CD. Finally, I gave you a real-world example of how to apply the techniques introduced in this chapter.
