Some network applications work great under Wine. Forte Agent works fairly well. mIRC runs fine but cannot handle DCC transfers. AOL's AIM works just fine. If the application is going to work, it'll pretty much work automatically ”the Wine folks have successfully implemented enough of the Windows code base to emulate a good portion of MS Windows network connectivity.
