Problem with using Limited-Capabilities User IDS

Problem with using Limited-Capabilities User IDS

Limited-capabilities user IDs will not work in a WebFacing environment. If you use the *YES or *PARTIAL parameter on the Limit capabilities (LMTCPB) parameter for a user ID, WebFacing will not work.

However, you can circumvent this problem. Set the initial program for these user IDs to OSYS/QQFINVOKER. This will cause the WebFacing run-time program to be invoked at logon time, which will enable these user IDs to run in a WebFaced application.

Note

After you change the user ID to this initial program, you cannot use it to sign on through a regular 5250 screen.
