Chapter 21: Checking Your DDS for WebFacing Support

You might want to know whether your DDS display file source is supported by the WebFacing Tool, and what keywords you can and cannot use without causing your conversion to fail. This would allow you to estimate what the success rate is in your environment and how much resource you might need to convert your applications with the WebFacing Tool.

The Goal of this Chapter

In this chapter I am introducing a tool that you can download from the IBM Web site. The tool is called the DDS Keyword Survey Tool. It works on your iSeries host: You can input DDS source files and the tool creates a report that is stored in a spool file. I want to make you aware of this tool and show you where to find it.
