Upgrading from Team Services

SharePoint Team Services is replaced by SharePoint Services. This is more than a typical version upgrade, although their version numbers are sequential (Version 1.0 and version 2.0). Microsoft provides a tool for migrating sites from Team Services to SharePoint Services ( smigrate.exe ).

The migration must be done from one running server to another: there's no way to upgrade a site in place. Because of the differences in technology, this isn't a simple process, and you may want to leave Team Service sites in place and gradually replace them with SharePoint Services sites.
