The HTMLTaskPane Object

The HTMLTaskPane object represents a custom task pane. HTMLTaskPane has some methods and properties of its own and also inherits methods and properties of the TaskPane object.

HTMLTaskPane Object Methods

The HTMLTaskPane object has only one method, Navigate() . The Navigate() method loads a specified HTML file into the task pane. The single argument of the Navigate() object is a URL that specifies the location of the HTML file. It is security level 2.

HTMLTaskPane Object Properties

The HTMLTaskPane object has four properties:

• HTMLDocument ” Returns a reference to an HTML document. Security level 2.

• HTMLWindow ” Returns a reference to the HTML window of the custom task pane. Security level 3.

• Type ” Returns a value indicating the type of task pane. For custom task panes, the value is . Security level 0.

• Visible ” Sets or retrieves a Boolean value that specifies whether the custom task pane is visible or hidden. Security level 2.
