Toolbar and Menu-Related Elements

 <  Day Day Up  >

The InfoPath client allows additional menus or toolbars to be created. These optional custom user interface features are specified using the xsf:toolbar and xsf:menuArea elements. Additional choices can be offered on existing InfoPath menus using xsf:menuArea elements.

The <xsf:toolbar> Element

Custom toolbars can be added to form templates. The xsf:toolbar element is used to specify each additional custom toolbar.

xsf:toolbar has a name attribute that must be unique for a given view. The caption attribute of the xsf:toolbar element is used to display the title of the toolbar.

Each button in the custom toolbar is specified using an xsf:button element, which is a child element of the xsf:toolbar element.

The <xsf:menuArea> Element

The xsf:menuArea element is used to specify custom choices added to the core InfoPath menus.

The <xsl:menu> Element

The xsl:menu element is used to add a custom top-level menu. Each choice in the custom menu is specified using an xsf:button element.
