Backing up an Exchange server is much more than putting in a tape every night and storing the tapes the next day. Good administrators put time and effort into methodically thinking about disaster recovery situations and are totally prepared in case of a server crash. Although a full image backup of the server is necessary, administrators must be prepared to recover individual components and services of a server. Having a tested and documented backup plan as well as good backup media on hand is the first step to recovering from a system failure. |
