The major mission of Group Policy is to manage the user and network environment. This includes the look and feel of the users' desktop, and controlling what they can and can't do when they are logged on to the network. In essence, Group Policy allows you, the system administrator, to ensure that users have what they need to perform their jobs, but not allow them to corrupt their or other users' environments. In this chapter, we're going to continue our coverage of Group Policy. We will look at more of the things that you can do with Group Policy, and we will also look at the tools needed to manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs). |
