Starting the Mandrake Installation Procedure

Put the CD or DVD in the CD or DVD drive and turn on the power to your computer. The computer will boot from the CD or DVD and display the installation start screen. (If your machine doesn't boot from the CD/DVD, see Chapter 3.)

Press <Enter> to begin the graphical installation procedure, which starts as follows:

1.	Performs a few tasks, displaying its progress as shown below. You don't need to respond to or understand the lines on the screen.
2.	Loads the install program into memory, displaying a status bar as shown below.
