Rhythmbox is a music player for GNOME. For instance, Fedora provides Rhythmbox as the default music player on GNOME.

Rythmbox opens the window shown in Figure 16-2.

Figure 16-2. Rhythmbox music player.

The sidebar on the left lets you choose between Library (music on your hard disk), Radio (stations you set up), and a play list (if you have created one).

The figure shows Library selected. Music is playing, showing the artist, the album (a folder), and two tracks. The second track is playing, 24 seconds into 5:47 total length. To add music to the Rhythmbox library, click Music. You can select Folder or URL. You can also select Import from CD, which opens Sound Juicer, an application that copies music from an audio CD, discussed later in this chapter.

If you click Radio in the sidebar, the radio stations set up in Rhythmbox display in the main pane. You just click a station and it begins playing.
