CASE STUDY 24: EX-PARTNER CLAIMS

 < Day Day Up >

A partner in an information technology firm left and went into his own business. The individual was accused of taking proprietary documents on his laptop. The individual also produced the laptop, along with the claim that, although there were missing documents, none were relevant to the claims. Additionally, the individual claimed that a prolific virus had destroyed the documents. A computer forensics team was hired and was able to show fabrication of evidence, upon which the individual then admitted wrongdoing in a deposition. The individual was then sanctioned.
