Adding Keyframes to Motion Tweens

I l @ ve RuBoard

After you create a motion tween (either with the Create Motion Tween command or via the Frame Property Inspector), Flash creates new keyframes for you when you reposition a tweened object in an in-between frame. You can also add new keyframes by choosing Insert > Keyframe.

To add new keyframes to a motion tween:

  1. Create a 10-frame motion tween of a bouncing ball, following the steps in the one of the preceding two exercises.

  2. In the Timeline, select Frame 3. On the Stage, you see the ball in one of the in-between positions Flash created.

  3. In the Toolbox, select the arrow tool.

  4. Drag the ball to a new positionslightly to the right of its current position, for example.

Flash inserts a new keyframe at Frame 3 and splits the preceding five-frame tween into separate tweens (Figure 9.12).

Figure 9.12. Repositioning the ball in an in-between frame that's part of a tween creates a new keyframe and a revision of the tweened frames .
