Adapting the Microsoft Solution Delivery Lifecycle

The Microsoft Solution Delivery Lifecycle and its subordinate MSF Governance Model represent a grouping of activities to enable incremental delivery. It is expected that track and checkpoint names might need to be changed to be consistent with an organization's existing process. Accompanying the adaptation of the MSF Team Model, it is also expected that the activities outlined for each track by advocacy groups might also be adapted. As with adapting the MSF Team Model, as long as the core principles and set of natural checks and balances are preserved, the MSF Governance Model can be easily adapted to match the needs of both small and large as well as agile and more formal projects.
