Resetting to a Clean State

As you've developed, you might have messed around with the database schema countless times, renamed and moved property files, discarded JSP files, and so on. Before you walk away from the project, you must be sure that you can start it up from a clean state on a pristine machine. This means provisioning a fresh machine, copying the source directories, and doing a make dist . If you did everything right, the application should be ready to go. If you dropped the ball on something, this is a better time to learn it than at 3:05 A.M. some Sunday morning.
