Installing Crystal Reports

To install Crystal Reports onto your local computer, perform the following steps:

1. Insert the Crystal Reports CD into your computer.

   If the CD does not start automatically, browse the CD-ROM drive. Double-click Setup.exe.

2. Read and accept the License Agreement to continue with the installation.

3. Type your name, organization, and Product Key Code into the User Information dialog box.

   You can find the Product Key Code on the back of the Crystal Reports CD envelope.

4. Press Next.

   Once you press this button, the Select Installation Type dialog box displays.

5. Choose the Typical installation option.

   The Typical option installs the most common features to your computer. Select the Custom option should you wish to further define the features that you want installed.

6. Press Next.

   Once you press this button, the Start Installation dialog box displays. The Crystal Reports software is installed to the default directory location C:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Crystal Reports 9\. Should you wish to change this location, press the Browse button before pressing Next.

7. Press Next (on the Start Installation dialog box) to begin the installation to your computer.
