Cross-References

The main purpose of bookmarks is to create cross-references to them. Throughout this book, I have referred to different areas of the book for further information.

The perfect example is when I discuss a topic briefly and advise the reader to see more information that can be found on a certain page number. For instance, while that page number may be page 16-5 as I insert the cross-reference now, at the time of printing it may have become page Text Form Fields on page 18-5. So, instead, I inserted a cross-reference to the title of the heading Text Form Fields, in case I decide to change the heading name, and also to page 18-5, in case the page number changes as I continue to write my book.

One of the things I hate about cross-references can be found in on page 5-7. (Hmm…just used a bunch of cross-references there, did you catch them?)

You can create cross-references to any bookmark. Bookmark types are listed on page 16-4.
