B.10 U.S. Department of Defense DISA ResourcesThe U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Information Systems Agency offers a number of helpful products for security education. These unclassified products are free for the asking. The videos discussed below may be freely reproduced and distributed; the government encourages you to do so. Most of the videos consist of several parts, or topics. Each of the parts are titled; the videos themselves are not. To order any of these products, point your browser at www.disa.mil/infosec/dodfm2.html Fill out the online form and select the products you desire. Print the screen and FAX the printout to the telephone number specified. You will receive no acknowledgment that your order has been received. Mine showed up in roughly three weeks. B.10.1 CyberProtect CD-ROMThis wonderful interactive game-like CD-ROM allows you to simulate being an agency's MIS department manager, operating on a budget, setting up various security arrangements, and dealing with intrusion attempts. It allows you to see how well various arrangements work and get an idea of how much effort is needed to secure your site. B.10.7 Information Assurance (IA) for Auditors & Evaluators CD-ROMThis interactive CD-ROM categorizes and details examples of computer crime, including threats, countermeasures, confidentiality, and risk. Related laws are discussed. B.10.8 Incident Preparation & Response CD-ROMThe full title is System Administrator Incident Preparation & Response (SAIPR) for Windows NT (for System Administrators). Although it is aimed at the NT administrator, some of the topics are general and applicable and of use to Linux SysAdmins. Topics include collecting information before an incident, recognizing unauthorized activity, policy and procedures, and investigation. It was produced by the Department of Defense's Computer Investigations Training Program (DCIPT). B.10.9 DOD INFOSEC Awareness CD-ROMThis CD-ROM is designed to provide computer security awareness to all that use Department of Defense computer systems.
