Chapter 13. Preparing Your Hardware

   


Although it is scary to prepare for a break-in, it is time and money well-spent. It will enable you to recover much faster, often in a few minutes instead of many hours or even days. It should be done for the same reason that off-site backups are done, to reduce the harm to your entity in the event of a serious problem. It is another type of insurance; you hope you will not need it, but it sure will be important if you do.
