iApp Integration with .Mac

Everyone knows that Apple's iApps are great for things like managing photos and music, or for creating movies and burning them to DVDs. But few people realize how tightly integrated the iApps are with the .Mac services. For example:

• From iPhoto, you can create Photo Albums and then publish them directly to your .Mac HomePage. You can also create screensavers from images in your collection to use on your Mac or share with other Mac OS X users (as long as they're using Mac OS X v10.2 or higher).

• From iMovie, you can export the movies you create directly to your iDisk's Movies folder and build a .Mac HomePage that it can be viewed from.

• With iCal, you can opt to publish your calendars to your iDisk, making them viewable on the Web from any browser that supports current-day web standards.

• iSync can be used to place information you store in your Address Book, iCal, and even Safari's bookmarks on your iDisk, making them available to you online using a web browser. Your Address Book contacts can then be used with .Mac's web-based Mail service as well, so your contacts will always be available to you, even if you're on the road or on vacation without your trusty Mac.

• Mail can be configured to use IMAP to gather and manage your .Mac email.

• You can save the tracks you create with GarageBand to your iDisk's Public folder and share them with your friends or other GarageBand users.

By combining the iApps and your .Mac account, your Mac becomes that much more powerful, making it easier for you to extend your digital lifestyle with the world around you.
