12.10 Conclusion

As project manager, you want to set the tone of professionalism and respect for one another. This may require deliberate action on your part, because conflict, fighting for recognition, and finger pointing are natural consequences of being human. There is no reason to expect the citizens of the information technology (IT) world to be any different. Team members, customers, beneficiaries, corporate staff, and vendors can make you crazy; they also threaten team serenity. It should be your mission to minimize that by your own behavior, and the types of behavior you encourage actively or tacitly by the choices you make in the areas covered by this chapter - whether you agree with my views on them or not.
