Windows 2003 is a reliable operating system, but accidents can happen. So, make sure you back up your Windows Server 2003 before you make any significant changes to that machine. Significant changes include adding beaucoups of new users or groups, making Active Directory changes, adding services or applications, or anything else that makes major changes to the Registry. This way, if the server goes down after the changes are applied, you can always restore the backup after booting from your startup disks and reactivating the backup software to get back to where you started. Don't leave home without it!
