This is a simulation which is an alternative to working on the coachee s own in-tray. The coachee is provided with a bundle of papers including letters , memos and telephone messages. He or she has to prioritize the papers and decide how to deal with each one.
In-tray exercises are time-consuming to prepare, but when used effectively can be a powerful learning tool. See the notes in Part 1 (Chapter 9) relating to using simulated experiences.
