4.11 Configuration Mode


The configuration mode is used to enable JUNOS software features, such as interfaces, generic routing information, and routing protocols, among others. From the operational mode, you can find your way into the configuration mode where you can enable functions and begin to see your router operate . The following sections describe the navigation, hierarchy, and use of the configuration mode. You will also find out how to manipulate configuration files, how and where the files are stored, and how to use these files, once they are created.
