A text file (similar to an .ini file) that describes how to install an application (which command line to use); the properties of the application (name, version, and language); and what entry points the application should automatically install (for file name extension, CLSID, and ProgID). A .zap file is generally stored in the same location on the network as the setup program it references. See also package.
