Red Hat Linux includes the Printer Configuration Tool to allow users to configure a printer. The Printer Configuration Tool helps maintain the /etc/printcap configuration file, print spool directories, and print filters.
This chapter provides information on configuring, testing, and modifying a local printer with the Printer Configuration Tool.
Note | For information on configuring various types of printers, configuring a printer without the Printer Configuration Tool, and more, refer to the Official Red Hat Linux Administrator’s Guide (Red Hat Press/Wiley, 2003) or click on the Help button once you open the Printer Configuration Tool. |
