In VB2005, a primary Form (usually called Form1) is displayed when the program is executed. Secondary forms may be defined and displayed using the form's ShowDialog method.

The SelText property of a text box in VB6 is called SelectedText in VB2005.

In VB2005, menus are created with the MenuStrip control found in the Toolbox instead of VB6's Menu Editor that was invoked from the Tools menu.

The Random object, new to VB2005, is much easier to use than the Rnd function of VB6.
