What Is AAA?

AAA consists of three services that are commonly used for security purposes. With AAA services, you can require users to identify themselves prior to allowing them access to company resources. Once you successfully verify a user's identity, you, as the network administrator, can give the user access to specific resources. The resources that you allow a user to access can be internal or external to your organization. Knowing what users do while their sessions are active can be important. The final service of AAA allows you to document what actions users perform.
