This concludes our coverage of Maya interface control with MEL. Note that we have merely scratched the surface of building interfaces in Maya. Exploration and experimentation coupled with planning and an understanding of the logic and structures behind Maya s UI construction will allow the near limitless customization of the Maya interface and the construction of any window imaginable. One major interface script we did not cover is the AETemplate, but this is usually only used by those creating new object classes with the API. Those wanting to explore AETemplates are encouraged to dissect the scripts located in the /scripts/AETEmplates/ directory, as well as the appropriate command documentation.
