Exam-Taking Tips

Take these exams under your own circumstances, but we recommend that when you take them, you treat them just as you would treat the actual exam at the testing center. Use the following tips to get the maximum benefit from the exams:

• Before you start, create a quiet, secluded environment where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the exam.

• Provide yourself with a few empty sheets of paper before you start. Use some of these sheets to write your answers, and use the others to organize your thoughts. At the end of the exam, use your answer sheet to evaluate your exam with the help of the answer key that follows the practice exam.

• Don't use any reference material during the exam.

• Some of the questions might be vague and require you to make deductions to come up with the best possible answer from the possibilities given. Others might be verbose, requiring you to read and process a lot of information before you reach the actual question.

• As you progress, keep track of the elapsed time and make certain that you'll be able to answer all the questions in the given time limit.

Now, it's time to put to the test the knowledge that you've learned from reading this book! Write down your answers to the following questions on a separate sheet of paper so that you can take this sample test multiple times. After you answer all the questions, compare your answers with the correct answers provided in Chapter 12. The answer keys for both exams immediately follow each practice exam chapter.
