Understand the value of system policies. Much the same as you would configure a group policy in Active Directory, system policies in Exchange Server 2003 can be used to save you time when configuring changes across multiple servers and stores in the Exchange organization. Only one policy may be applied to any one tab of the properties for a mailbox store, public folder store, or server, so you will likely want to create one policy for each tab as required.

Know what you have available to work with. One thing Exchange Server 2003 is not short on is tools and utilities to help you get your job done. It is important that you be able to remember the tools we ‚ ve discussed in this chapter as well as use them properly ‚ both on test day and every day as you administer your Exchange organization.
