Using an Uninterruptible Power Supply

[Previous] [Next]

An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provides emergency battery power to a computer, enabling it to continue operating or perform an orderly shutdown in the event of a power interruption. If you use a UPS supported by Windows 2000, you'll probably see an additional tab in your Power Options Properties dialog box. Clicking this tab enables you to set parameters governing the behavior of your UPS.
